Stories connect us to each other, our cultures, and the world. Come and hear from inspiring speakers reflecting our culturally diverse communities who will show how social media has helped them strengthen their identities, roots and friendships. How can Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other tools help you do the same? Ask the speakers in this interactive session. Afterwards, meet community leaders and social media activists at the afterparty - registration for the afterparty is now available.

East of Main
What is East of Main?
Practically overnight, Vancouver’s Main Street has become the ‘hip’ area of town, complete with trendy bars, restaurants, and shops. The same kind of gentrification has been slow to reach areas further East of Main. East of Main is our community - with a strong visible minority presence, a progressive worldview, and solid working class roots.
